Sony is recruiting engineers for three design centers in Europe
Antonio Avitabile, managing director of strategic partnerships and venture investments at Sony’s Innovation Fund Europe, wrote on Linkedin that the design centers will focus on the design and the development of image sensors for multiple markets including mobile, automotive and industrial.
Avitabile did not indicate exactly where the design centers would be located, or how many jobs would be based at each location but said the company was starting a “wide recruitment campaign all over Europe.” He added that the company wants to hire analog and digital engineers as well as engineering managers and field application engineers.
The European design teams will work closely with Sony Semiconductor design and manufacturing teams in Japan, Avitabile said.
The recruitment is being conducted by IC Resources Ltd. (Theale, England) but the company had not replied to requests for more information on where the design centers are to be located, or how many jobs are being created, by the time this story was posted.
