Spansion widens product base: licenses ARM IP for automotive, industrial and consumer embedded systems

Earlier this month, Spansion announced it was expanding its range with a broader product line featuring Flash memory, microcontrollers, analogue, mixed signal and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions.The ARM processors licensed by Spansion support all existing MCU products acquired from Fujitsu and create a foundation for incorporating Spansion’s expertise in Flash memory-based embedded systems.
Specific ARM cores licensed by Spansion include the Cortex-M0+, Cortex-M4, Cortex-M3, Cortex-R5, Cortex-R4, ARM9 and ARM7 processors.
