The SiT9005 SSXO offers two techniques for compliance: spread spectrum clocking and rise/fall time adjustment of the clock signal. The chip is supported on SiTime’s Time Machine II programmer, which allows engineers to quickly reduce emissions levels. The IC is designed for a range of industrial and consumer applications such as IP cameras, industrial motors, multi-function printers, tablets, flat panel devices, and other electronic products required to meet compliance standards. Features include;

– Up to 17 dB EMI reduction on carrier frequency and 30 dB on harmonics

– 28 spread spectrum options

– Centre spread from ±0.125 to ±2.0% with ±0.125% resolution

– Down spread from -0.25% to -4.0% with -0.25% resolution

– Eight FlexEdge configurable rise/fall time options

– 0.25 nsec to 40 nsec slew rates

– Triangular or “Hershey Kiss” spread profile

– Best cycle-to-cycle period jitter at <15 psec (picosecond), for clocking high-speed chips

– 1 to 141 MHz frequency range

– 0.2 µA, lowest standby current consumption for battery-powered systems

– Three industry-standard footprints for 100% drop-in replacement: 2.0 x 1.6 mm (industry’s smallest SSXO), 2.5 x 2.0 mm, or 3.2 x 2.5 mm

– -40 to +85°C operating temperature range, for industrial applications

– ±20 ppm frequency stability

– LVCMOS output

– Highest reliability and resilience

30 times higher shock and vibration resistance

30 times higher reliability at 1 billion hours MTBF
