ST assists Neonodework together to bring touch technology to any surface
Noenode’s easy to use modules can allow any surface to have touch interaction. The technology works with plastic, skin, glass, wood and steel and can even detect interactions in mid air. The fast and precise technology uses infra-red light to track gestures. The light is not on the visible spectrum and doesn’t affect the quality of the display.
The Neonode family of products is enabled by a programmable, mixed-signal SoC and an Arm Cortex MCU from ST, which measure and interpret the laser readings. The technology is capable of tracking multiple objects simultaneously. Readings are taken up to 500 times per second with virtually no delay.
The zForce AIR Touch Sensor modules are now available from Digi-Key and will be on ST’s stand at Embedded World.
