Stainless steel power resistor delivers high power capability to 20-kW
Providing protection IP00 to IP23 and a robust design, the new Vishay Draloric VSGR will be used as a converter and brake resistor in windmill, solar, diesel generator, turbine, and railway applications. Offering an excellent price/performance ratio, the device features a power rating from 5 kW to 20 kW, resistance range from 0.1 Ω to 75 Ω — with other values available on request — resistance tolerance of ± 5 % and ± 10 %, and a temperature coefficient (TCR) of 250 ppm/K.
The RoHS-compliant resistor offers an easy-to-mount design and complies with Vishay Green standards.
Availability
Samples and production quantities of the VSGR are available now, with lead times of eight to 10 weeks for larger orders.
