STM32 SoC integrates LoRa connectivity

By eeNews Europe

The STM32WLE5 SoC combines ST’s ultra-low-power STM32 MCU with a LoRa-compliant radio in a single-die. ST has multiple patents pending, namely for radio Power Management Architecture, to ensure the STM32WLE5 has unique performance. ST’s LoRaWAN software for wireless network communications has passed all regional certifications for use worldwide.

The STM32WLE5 device is covered by ST’s rolling 10-year longevity commitment for industrial products.

The STM32WLE5 comes in a 5mm x 5mm UFBGA73 package and is integrated into the company’s STM32 ecosystem, including STM32Cube software support. Its LoRaWAN stack is certified for all regions and available in source-code format.
