STMicroelectronics acquires GUI specialist, Draupner Graphics
TouchGFX is mainly used for embedded GUIs with minimal resource requirements and power consumption.
On 32-bit MCUs, TouchGFX provides high-end graphical performance that can replicate smartphone-style graphics in smart home and building automation systems, appliances, wearables, and audio and video systems. Several of ST’s STM32 product lines already support TouchGFX.
“We have worked closely with Draupner for 5 years and see the value TouchGFX delivers on STM32 MCUs in different applications,” said Daniel Colonna, Microcontroller Marketing Director, STMicroelectronics. “The acquisition of Draupner Graphics will accelerate both TouchGFX and STM32 roadmaps to offer embedded developers and their customers more advanced features.”
