Subscriber line interface circuits for voice-over-broadband cable
The dual- and single-channel Le9540 and Le9541, respectively, offer industry-leading low-power consumption and include features that allow product developers to cost-effectively add voice capabilities to DOCSIS® and Euro-DOCSIS™3.0 modems. The SLICs are available in production quantities now.
"Our new SLICs make VoIP service more affordable to deploy and operate by lowering bill-of-material and power consumption costs through a combination of unique features," said Jacques Issa, vice president of Microsemi’s Voice and Power products group.
The Le9540 and Le9541 are built on a high voltage process technology which is field-proven, with over 400 million lines successfully deployed worldwide. These two latest SLIC devices are footprint compatible, allowing product developers to design multiple products for various markets based on a single platform.
The devices feature a small footprint and are compliant with the European Commission’s Code of Conduct on Data Center Energy Efficiency
