The SG250HX string inverter operates at 1500Vdc and 800Vac, enabling cost saving on DC and AC cables. The inverter has a maximum efficiency of 99% and is compatible with bi-facial modules, offering a higher yield. The system features 12 different MPPT power racking algorithms and a flexible block design allowing for up to 6.3 MW blocks, making it suitable for utility-scale applications, for example on hillsides.

The ingress protection level of IP66 and anti-corrosion grade of C5 means the compact inverter is resilient in harsh conditions like desert and coastal areas. With smart forced air-cooling technology, it operates without derating at high temperatures.

The string inverter also includes fault diagnostics and an IV-curve scan function to make operation and maintenance easier, while an embedded anti-PID function reduces the module degradation. Power Line Communication (PLC) links reduce installation cost by eliminating addtional wiring, and the inverter can be connected to battery banks via a storage system interface.

“Sungrow is excited to bring forth another disruptive string inverter technology to Europe, maximizing ROI for our customers at unforeseen levels,” said Stefan Froboese, Technical Director of Sungrow EMEA at the Intersolar exhibition in Munich this week..
