The IPP-8036, one of the featured surface-mount products from full line of dual directional couplers from IPP, is a 300-W, 50 dB device that operates from 20 MHz to 1000 MHz.
IPP has leveraged softboard laminate technology and embedded internal terminations in order to offer the IPP-8036 in a surface mount package, instead of aluminum housing with connectors, which saves system size and cost by bringing the coupler inside the power amplifier. The device also features an innovative broadband design that provides separate coupled ports for both forward and reflected signals.
According to Innovative Power Products, additional key features of the IPP-8036 include:
- Insertion loss: < 0.29 dB;
- Main line VSWR: < 1.25:1;
- Coupling: 50 dB;
- Coupled flatness: ±0.6 dB;
- Directivity: > 20 dB;
- Package: 1.5 x 1.0-inch surface mount (SMD).
