Surface mount LEDs with aspherical lens measure only 2.9×2.4mm
The CSL701/801 series uses an optical design based on a smaller light-emitting element and computer aided engineering, along with an aspherical lens developed through proprietary moulding technology. This results in what is claimed to be the industry’s smallest surface mount aspherical lens LEDs, at 2.9×2.4mm. Additionally, improved heat dissipation characteristics make it possible to reduce size while enabling high output. Lower current consumption is also provided at the same luminosity compared with conventional products and an optical axis deviation of only ±3% delivers sufficient lighting even for objects far away, says the manufacturer.
