The low power 2.4 GHz Chirp Spread Spectrum radio modules can be directly deployed, with no need to develop low level driver software. Users can easily create their own location-aware applications. The Nanotron swarm platform relies on swarm intelligence: individuals in a swarm know their position and communicate with one another thus moving around securely without interfering with each other. Besides communication, the swarm platform incorporates location awareness, the ability to measure the distances between individuals in the swarm.
