Swindon Silicon offers online ASIC engagement tool
Using IC Builder the user adds functions for an intelligent sensing application and can see what the resulting package requirement would be. Designers can add processor cores such as Cortex-M or 8051 and specify embedded memory – flash or EEPROM – as well as ADCs, DACs, low- and band-pass filter, photdiode and temperature sensors, frequency generators, RF circuits and communications prototols. Designers can also choose power devices for actuation such as full bridge, gated drivers as well as low and high side drivers.
Swindon Silicon designs ASICs plus MEMS combinations for automotive tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). The company also supplies ASICs to the medical and industrial sectors. The company’s devices can be found in hearing aids, factory automation proximity sensors, rotary and linear encoders and multi-touch screen displays.
