Switch to energy harvesting now!
Cherry’s energy harvesting technology benefit mostly applications where a complex wire assembly and/or batteries would be inappropriate. The required RF-energy is created by the mechanical actuation of the switch and the data is transmitted wirelessly using RF-technology.
The technology is very easy to install, fit and forget, with two standardised package versions for industrial applications: a rocker switch for actuation by hand and a snap-action switch for mechanical actuation. The switch can easily be connected with a standard SPS bus system like OpenCAN and Profibus or industrial interfaces like RS485, SPI, 4-20mA and 0-24V. The signal received simply transmits to an SPS or other industrial control.
The evaluation kit contains an energy harvesting generator, including RF electronics integrated into a microswitch housing, a receiver PCB with multiple digital and analogue outputs, a high performance dipole antenna, a chip antenna, and a CD containing the driver & installation instructions, as well as an instruction manual.

And the winners are…
In our previous reader offer, Oscium was giving away three of its iMSO-204L dual analogue iOS oscilloscopes, worth USD400 each.
Lucky winners include Mr M. Noltorp from Sweden, Mr J. Lewis from the UK and Mr L. Goberecht should be receiving their instruments soon. Let’s wish them some interesting findings with their projects.
For what project are you likely to use this kit?
To qualify for the reader offer and get the chance to win one of these kits, complete the Reader Offer entry form below and tell us what project makes you interested in this package.
