TAG Heuer watch has Intel, Android inside
The TAG Heuer Connected watch tries not only to connect its user to the internet but also to connect tradition and modern lifestyle. Inspired by the wearable phenomenon, the watch features cutting-edge technology from Intel and Google. The dial is implemented as a digital screen, which in normal operation appears like an analogue watch with traditional dial and hands. The only hint that the watch is entirely electronic is partner apps displayed inside three complications on the chronograph dial at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. Plus, the user can change the appearance of the watch – three dials are pre-installed. If wearers want to dive deeper into one of the apps, they can touch the counter in question to open and interact with the app in full screen mode.
The technology for inner life of the watch has been provided by Intel and Google; the chipmaker also says it has optimized performance and enabled multiple connectivity options including audio streaming, while Bluetooth and WiFi allow users to harness the full range of features offered by the Android Wear operating system, even while disconnected from a phone. Through a built-in microphone, users can control the watch with their voice. A sapphire crystal touchscreen and IP67 water resistance rating make the TAG Heuer Connected watch ready for the adventure we call everyday life.
