Tape light connector simplifies LED tape light installation
The next generation LED tape light connector claim to outperform other tape light connectors by simplifying LED tape light installation, offering a wider range of compatible tape lights, stronger and more reliable connections, and a simplified design that incorporates a universal wire adapter.
The CLICKTIGHT PRO was designed to be simply the best solderless connector on the market and aims to solve long-standing challenges with field installation of LED tape lighting by creating a strong and reliable solderless connection. The connector eliminates installation dark spots or light gaps and incorporates wire spade connections for more universal application.
The LED cutout design of the CLICKTIGHT PRO allows it to snap firmly over the first LED at the noted field-cut point of high density LED tape light. Prior to CLICKTIGHT PRO, the LEDs crowded the solderless connectors. The crowding prevented a proper grip of the tape light, creating weak and unreliable connections often resulting in installation failure and reinstallation labor cost.
The solution offered by the designed ‘over-snap’ of the CLICKTIGHT PRO is the elimination of the LED gaps, and resulting dark spots, when connecting two runs of LED tape light to make a continuous run. The ‘over-snap’ of the first led in the run allows two strips light strands to be attached together with no gap in the LED distribution.
The wire spade connections. This allows the CLICKTIGHT PRO to be more universal. The same connector is used for bending connections and for extension and power lead wires of any length. For both the installer and LED solution provider, this greatly simplifies the configuration and installation of LED lighting solutions and is available in two form factors.
CLICKTIGHT PRO Tape-to-Wire Connector: Connect Diode LED tape light to your custom length of wire via spade connection (24AWG – 18AWG). Ideal for use as a low voltage power feed or as a bending extension to jump corners and obstacles.
CLICKTIGHT PRO Tape-to-Tape Connector: Used for attaching identical LED tape light lengths into a continuous linear run.
The device’s slim design offers the low profile needed to fit in Diode LED’s CHROMAPATH Aluminum Channels to create a custom LED fixture.
