Teledyne LeCroy has launched its next generation of oscilloscope, integrating a waveform generator and spectrum analyser.

The HDO6000B Series follows the trend of instrument integration with larger interfaces for IoT, embedded and mobile computing. The oscilloscope is based around the HD4096 ASIC that combines 12bit ADCs, high Signal to Noise amplifiers and low noise system architecture.

“No digitizer is perfect,” said Robert Mart, Teledyne LeCroy’s Director of Product Marketing. “But compared with an eight-bit system, a twelve-bit system is sixteen times closer to perfect.”

The HDO6000B covers a bandwidth from 350 MHz to 1 GHz with a sample rate of 10 GS/s and long memories of up to 250 Megapoints and the 15.6in display has a resolution of 1920×1080.

An optional internal generator creates standard and arbitrary waveforms for stimulating the device under test. Rounding out the package is a toolbox of analysis functions that are accessible through LeCroy’s ‘MAUI with OneTouch’ user interface. This simplifies measurement setup and provides users with faster answers when debugging signal abnormalities. The instrument may also be controlled remotely using MAUI Studio, Teledyne LeCroy’s remote control and offline analysis tool.
