Tesla reveals snakelike robot car charger

Tesla has released a video that shows a prototype snakelike robot approaching the charging port of Tesla’s Model S electric car. The robot appears to connect with the charging port without any human assistance (see video (0:36) below).
Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, tweeted that Tesla is working on a "charger that automatically moves out from the wall [and] connects like a solid metal snake." The company did not indicate when the product might be available.
