Top of the list of the world’s laregst machines is the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN at 27km long, followed by the F60 bridge builder by VEB TAKRAF Lauchhammer. The 11,000 tonne machine is known as the ‘Horizontal Eiffel Tower of Lusatia’ as it is 502m long and 204m wide, beating the Eiffel Tower, which is 182 metres shorter. After the International Space Station (ISS), the list includes the Crawler that carrries rockets to launch sites in Florida.

The smallest of the largest earth moving machines at number 11 is the D575A-3SD Superdozer, which has an 860 kW engine.
