Three-phase BLDC motor drive evaluation board quickens development

By eeNews Europe

The ICs have high voltage PWM control and are manufactured using a high voltage (500V / 600V) process. They integrate a level-shifting high-side driver, low-side driver, MOSFET outputs, voltage regulator and circuit protections including overcurrent, undervoltage and thermal. The ICs also feature a three-shunt resistor circuit for three-phase current sensing. TPD4204F and TPD4206F can output 2.5A, and the TPD4207F can deliver 5A.

The evaluation board has all of the required passive components required to create a BLDC motor driver. Pads are available for the connection and configuration of the external driver and motor. Probing pads help monitor key voltage waveforms.
