Three-phase brushless motor driver IC in small package
The driver IC’s integrated PWM controller circuit generates a sine wave, resulting in a quiet, high efficiency motor drive. The TB6585AFTG adopts a small, leadless, heat-dissipating QFN48 package that has the same absolute maximum ratings for voltage and current as existing products in larger packages. By reducing the required mounting area by approximately 75%, the driver IC contributes to equipment downsizing and lower PCB costs.
The device operates from 4.5V to 42V with absolute max. ratings of 45V and 1.8A. Its total output resistance is 0.7Ω (typ.), it has a built-in Hall bias power supply of Vrefout = 4.4V (typ.), 20mA (max.) and a corresponding built-in Hall amplifier. It features lead angle control, current control, under voltage lockout and thermal shutdown, and comes in a QFN48 (7.0 × 7.0 × 0.9 mm).
