The Renesas processors are designed for industrial use in controllers, vending machines, HMIs, access control systems and robotics. The new TQMaRZG2x module uses the pin-compatible CPU derivatives RZ/G2N, RZ/G2M and RZ/G2H from Renesas.
The Renesas 64-bit multicore architecture integrates both Arm Cortex-A53 processors running at up to 1.2 GHz and Arm Cortex-A57 processors at speeds of up to 1.5 GHz. The TQMaRZG2x embedded module provides both a dual-core and two multicores. Various multicore combinations are available to help scale the boards from low-end to high-end applications. The processors are supported by an LPDDR4 with up to 8 Gbyte capacity. The modules also feature an eMMC memory slot that can host cards with a capacity of up to 64 GByte. For data security, TQ provides an optional QSPI-NOR Flash with up to 256 MByte.
The CPUs feature comprehensive graphics support with a powerful GPU for 3D applications. They can support resolutions of up to 4K, with multiple displays providing separate content. Two MIPI-CSI-2 interfaces are available for direct connection of camera sensors.
The module offers a range of interfaces that include; 1x Gbit Ethernet, 2x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0. 2x PCIe interfaces allow extended functionality. This allows connecting WiFi modules and other network interfaces to the module.
