With its small package, the model 2280 is well suited for vibration measurements across three orthogonal axes on aircraft engines, aerospace components, ground-based turbine engines, power plant equipment and other machinery that operates at high temperatures.

The Endevco model 2280 shares the same piezoelectric charge sensor system as the company’s popular single-axis 2248 family with 15 years of field-proven performance. Offered with a sensitivity of 3pC/g, the model 2280 features Meggitts proprietary piezoelectric elements and patented Isobase construction, to provide mechanical isolation of the sensing assembly from the mounting surface and minimize base strain.
The accelerometer is 35mm square and weighs less than 270 grams. It has three 10-32 side connectors and is mounted with two 8-32 bolts. The unit is hermetically sealed, and signal ground is isolated from the outer case of the unit. Three 10-foot Endevco model 3075M6-120 high-temperature, low-noise cables are supplied with the unit for error-free operation along with two mounting screws.
