Try out Intersil’s latest step-down power module
The ISL8203M is rated for dual 3A output current or 6A current sharing operation with an input range of 2.85V to 6V. Each of the two channels employs the current mode pulse width modulation scheme for fast transient response and pulse-by-pulse current limiting. The two channels each operate at a fixed 1MHz switching frequency, and are 180° out-of-phase, which reduces the input and output noise. The ISL8203M also offers internal digital soft-start, external synchronization, overcurrent protection, and over-temperature protection.
The board is by default set up to demonstrate two 3A outputs independently, and can also be easily set up for current sharing 6A by changing placeholder resistors. It comes with a mechanical switch for enable and power-good LED indicator, connectors, test points, and jumpers for easy probing.

For what project are you likely to use this kit?
To qualify for the reader offer and get the chance to win one of these boards, complete the Reader Offer entry form below and tell us what project makes you interested in this package.
And the winners are…
In our previous reader offer, Analog Devices was giving away five Blackfin Low-Power Imaging Platform (BLIP) Development Systems (ADZS-BF707-BLIP2), worth 199 dollars each, for eeNews Europe’s readers to win.
Lucky winners include, Mr R. Ettinger from Switzerland, Mr Z. Gomori from Hungary, Mr G. Mannigel from Germany, Mr P. Rodrigues from Portugal and Mrs Z. Sokalska from Poland.
Let’s wish them all some interesting findings.
