TSMC’s sales show modest growth in January

However, this year-on-year growth is modest compared with the longer-term growth recently forecast by TSMC chairman Morris Chang. Last month Chang said TSMC would see revenues up year-on-year by slightly more than 15 percent in the first half of 2018 and up by slightly less than 10 percent year-on-year in the second half of 2018.
January sales at foundry United Microelectronics Corp. were also up 4.1 percent year on the same month a year before. UMC recorded dales of NT$13.18 billion (about $450 million).
