TUV Rheinland plans to extend its support in the US and Asia shortly – inline and on target with its “2020 global Wireless/IoT strategy”.

Stefan Kischka, Vice President Wireless / IoT at TUV Rheinland explains: “We are delighted to communicate that we are the independent truly global 3rd party authorized LoRa Alliance test laboratory with strong commitments to service all geographies in line with our global lab presence. It’s our intention to support our array of customers in all verticals with the challenges they face with respect to wireless technologies, LoRa being a very important one. With our established team from the industry, we have the capability and the competence to build a strong position in all areas of the wireless market. We have made significant investments as testament to our commitment to our high-priority Wireless/IoT 2020 strategy.”

With the technical flexibility to address multiple IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, the LoRaWAN™ protocol is already being deployed by major mobile network operators and is anticipated to widely expand in 2016.
