The sensors communicate data to an in-cab monitor which displays the pressure and temperature of up to 22 tyres. Customised alert levels can be set by the driver for high pressure, low pressure and high temperature. The in-cab monitor is powered by an internal lithium battery, which is recharged from the vehicle’s power supply.
When purchasing the TPMS, customers have a choice of three sensors; external, flow-through and internal. These heavy duty sensors continue to monitor tyre pressure every hour while in sleep mode, so warnings are given immediately on starting up the vehicle.
Another model, the TC38, will suit vehicles with up to 38 tyres.
