There are versions available as penetration probes with different probe lengths and response times, als well as air and gas probes, foil between pack probes or simply as sticks for plugging into the USB port of a PC or PDA. The USB Thermometers have no built-in battery, so they will only work connected to a PC or a PDA. Depending on the version the USB Thermometers measure temperatures across a range of -40 to +125°C with a resolution of 0.1°C and an accuracy of ±0.5 °C. Each USB probe incorporates a unique serial number, allowing several probes to monitor temperature at the same time via a direct USB connection or a USB hub. The USB Lite thermometer software (English) converts your PC into a thermometer, chart recorder or data-logger. The compact design is suitable for a wide range of applications including computer/server room monitoring, warehouse monitoring and display cabinet monitoring, fluids, soft, semi-solid and granular materials as well as for food, including fish, fruits or between packs and boxes of produce.
Each USB thermometer probe is supplied with free of charge USB Lite software and is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7. This software allows the user to monitor °C/°F temperatures on their PC and log to an Excel spreadsheet for future analysis. PDA Software is also available.
