USound chooses Flex for MEMS speakers

Various MEMS speaker applications will be addressed from the Flex facility in Althofen, Austria.
USound claims that its miniature MEMS loudspeakers can take up 50 percent less space than rival speaker products while using 80 percent less energy and offering a greater frequency range.
The Ganymede piezoelectric MEMS speaker is suitable for use in earphones, headphones and smartphones, VR/AR glasses and wearables. The MEMS technology can also be used to achieve 3D-audio in a range of devices and applications.
