VCO delivers low phase noise and low power consumption
The VCO operates over the frequency range of 850 to 1050 MHz within 0.5 to 5.0 V of tuning. This unmatched VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset while operating off a 5 Vdc supply and drawing only 15 mA of current.
The low cost V590ME09-LF is designed to deliver +5.5 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load and covers the frequency band with an average tuning gain of 63 MHz/V. This low noise VCO operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -20 to 70ºC and features a typical second harmonic suppression of -13 dBc.
The VCO comes in the company’s standard MINI-14S package measuring 1.27- x 1.27- x 0.56-cm (0.5- x 0.5- x 0.22-inches) and it is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
The high performance device is well suited for microwave radio and test equipment applications that require low phase noise performance.
