This high performance VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -115 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 8 MHz/V.

The CRO2457A-LF is designed to deliver +6 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load while operating off a 5 Vdc supply and drawing typically 24 mA of current. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC and features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc.

The VCO has a pulling response of less than 1 MHz with a 12 dB return loss, any phase, and is housed in Z-Comm’s standard, MINI-16-SM package measuring 1.27- x 1.27- x 0.56-cm (0.5- x 0.5- x 0.22-inhes). It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The CRO2457A-LF is well suited for backhaul radios and satellite communication applications that require low phase noise performance.
