Vector MICROSAR Safe re-certified to ISO 26262 ASIL D
In 2017, MICROSAR Safe with 29 modules was certified according to ISO 26262 up to ASIL D. Now, the surveillance assessment has confirmed ASIL D compliance for an additional 19 modules. The expansion of the number of modules brings even more benefits to developers of safety-related projects.
The assessment evaluated modules from various domains of the basic software to test their freedom from interference. These include the AUTOSAR 4.3 crypto stack, time synchronization modules, transformers for signal-based and service-oriented communication, end-to-end protection of communication, and the lean hypervisor for the safe startup of multiple operating systems. The operating system itself and the basic software modules for CAN, LIN and FlexRay communication as well as the system control and memory management were evaluated.
