Veeco, AMEC settle semiconductor dispute

These include AMEC’s lawsuit against Veeco before the Fujian High Court in China and Veeco’s lawsuit against SGL before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
Veeco is a leading supplier of metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) machines for such as applications as LED manufacture. AMEC is China’s leading indigenous supplier of semiconductor manufacturing equipment including MOCVD equipment. SGL Group is a manufacturer of carbon-based products and materials and of wafer handlers for the semiconductor industry.
