Vehicle IoT router with WLAN and Multi-GNSS
The modular design of the device supports a wide range of protocols for the rapidly spreading Internet of Things (IoT). The basic technical equipment includes an LTE module for wireless Internet connection, a WLAN access point with Bluetooth LE, an Ethernet connection and multi-GNSS receivers. The hardware shield concept offers additional flexibility with a moderate investment: By allowing these small plug-in expansion modules to be tailored to the specific application, they transform the NB800 router into an application-optimized device. Shields are currently available with dual CAN, digital I/O and serial interfaces, with more in the pipeline.
With E-Mark certification (UN ECE R10), the NB800 router is predestined for use in buses and other road vehicles, even under difficult operating conditions. Its software is based on proven components such as an embedded Linux operating system and a suite of powerful communication protocols. Custom software extensions can be implemented via a sophisticated SDK or a Linux container (LXC).
