Verbatim to showcase GaN LEDs, high-brightness OLEDs
The GaN-based LEDs will be showed for the first time in the public. They are based on materials developed by Verbatim parent company Mitsubishi Chemicals and are said to exceed the luminosity of standard LEDs by a factor of up to 5. Thanks to their higher efficiency they enable significantly smaller luminaries; to lighting designers, they offer a superior design freedom.
Euroluce visitors also will be able to get an impression of Verbatim’s new Velvet OLED modules. These dimmable and color-controllable modules generate glare-free brightness of up to 2000 cd/m2 – twice as much as current generation OLED modules. With an efficiency of 51.6 lm/w their efficiency is 70 % higher than their predecessors’.
In addition, Verbatim will showcase a range of new dimmable Classic A LEDs for commercial users. Available with 7.5 W and 10.5 W, they directly replace incandescent bulbs. Other features include an emission angle of 220° and warm white light with a color temperature of 2700K. The novelties also include a Classic A LED lamp with E27 screw-in socket and IP65 protection, targeting outdoor applications.
The exhibits will be rounded off by new recessed luminaires, designed to be combined with Verbatim’s PAR16 GU10 lamps. These recessed luminaires are equipped with an aluminium socket, angle bracket, GU10 socket and connector. These products are available in two versions which differentiate themselves through the protection class – either IP23 for general use or IP44 for use in bathrooms and other humid environments.
The Euroluce trade fair takes place from April 9 through April 14 in Milan, Italy. Verbatim can be found in hall 15, stand B38.
