VIA, Foghorn join forces on edge computing
FogHorn’s Lightning product portfolio is addressing industrial IoT (IIoT) and edge computing by embedding edge intelligence directly into small-footprint IIoT devices as close to the source of streaming data as possible. It provides a highly compact, advanced and feature-rich edge intelligence solution that delivers very low latency for onsite data processing, real-time analytics, ML and AI capabilities. Typical applications include face and object recognition, 360°surround view and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

The solutions will run on a wide range of ruggedized small footprint systems, such as VIA Amos and VIA Artigo systems powered by the NXP i.MX 6DualLite ARM Cortex-A9 SoC and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820E Embedded Platform. Available in variety of configurations, the systems combine compute and video performance with rich I/O and connectivity features. Low power consumption, fanless operation, wide temperature and voltage ranges, and a host of customization options make them the systems ideal for industrial IoT and Edge AI deployments in the most demanding environments.
