On both the 3920B and 8800SX, the Tait DMR Auto-Test option now supports the TP9500 in addition to the TP9300 and TM9300 Series radios, while the Tait P25 Auto-Test option can now test the TP9600 along with the TP9100, TM9100, TP9400, and TM9400 Series radios. These Auto-Test options allow the test set user to perform fast and repeatable automated testing matching the Tait maintenance specification.

“Our customers depend on Tait for reliable communications,” said Ellery Hurn, Partner Manager, Strategic Partnering at Tait Communications. “Tait’s partnership with VIAVI ensures that first responders can trust their radios are operating at their best.

The 3920B Radio Test Platform features a low phase noise RF signal generator for performing critical receiver testing required on critical communication radios. It includes many standard features as well as a host of optional test capabilities, digital personalities, and the Auto-Test II Alignment capability. The instrument provides a comprehensive range of general-purpose analog measurement facilities as well as advanced digital test options. To make technicians more productive, the 3920B is not only simple to use but has features that make testing a radio quick and repeatable.

The 8800SX Digital Radio Test Set supports all modern land mobile radio technologies. It has a hybrid portable design that makes it ideal for both bench and field test environments and a large colour touch-screen display that simplifies operation and provides flexibility on the user interface. Power accuracy in the 8800SX rivals test equipment costing much more. Fast VSWR and return loss plots provides field analysis of antennas, duplexers, and combiners. The 8800SX  provides accurate distance to fault measurements, useful for locating problems in cables used in vehicles and at remote sites.

Tait offers integrated voice and data communications systems that improve workforce efficiency, safety, and are proven to perform in mission-critical environments. Tait serves customers from utilities, law enforcement and police, fire and emergency response, security and defense, transport, and mining, oil, and gas industries.
