Vincotech joins CharIN e.V. charging standards group
Vincotech is a leading producer of power semiconductor modules that will be used in gird and solar-powered charging points using the Charging Interface Initiative’s Combined Charging System (CCS) which is aiming to become the definitive technology for battery-powered electric vehicles (EVs).
Vincotech is the market leader in power modules for solar applications but also has modules for stationary chargers for EVs. It wants to contribute to CharIN’s efforts to develop charging standards and a certification system for the CCS alongside the founding members that include On Semiconductor, Audi, BMW, Daimler, Porsche and Volkswagen.
The company sees the reliability of the modules as a key advantage for the use of renewable energy in automotive applications.
