Virtual Instruments for Data Translation’s USB and PCI data acquisition systems
The virtual instruments have been specially developed for high-speed data acquisition and output. They integrate all the subsystems and features provided by Data Translation’s USB and PCI measurement hardware, including analog I/O, digital I/O, counter/timers, quadrature decoders, etc., and streaming data to disk at full speed. The use of polymorphic VIs allows a significant reduction in the number of virtual instruments within a LabVIEW application. Polymorphic VIs combine the functionality of different VIs into one VI that takes on different characteristics depending on the selected subsystem.
The software drivers are based on the DT-Open Layers .NET class library and are compatible with NI virtual instruments. LV-Link 3.0 supports LabVIEW 8.5.1 or higher, and LabVIEW 2009 or higher. The previous LV-Link Version 2.0 is available for users of earlier LabVIEW releases. Both LV-Link versions are provided free to users of Data Translation data acquisition hardware.
