The virtual pneumatic system contains a number of click-selected, ready-to-use configurations for the simulation of air brake systems and air cushion systems. Case-specific parameters can be assigned via a graphical user interface. All models, parameter sets and simulations are handled with one single tool. This results in consistent data handling from offline simulation to hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) simulation.

Modelled after real-world pneumatics systems, ASM Pneumatics is furnished with typical pneumatics components like compressor, tanks, valves, and cushioning chambers. The model supports fall-back functions to a purely mechanical brake systems. In addition, ASM Pneumatics supports stringing together multiple trailers, thus enabling the configuration of Road Trains, equipped with pneumatic brakes.

The system will be available in early 2014.
