The Swedish carmaker recently has established Sensus as a brand for a head unit which includes an intuitive HMI concept. Sensus is the interface that promotes communication with the car, connecting it to the driver’s digital world – and the central Infotainment module is a core component in this web of interactivity. The Sensus head unit is based on a 7" color display and assumes a variety of functions such as settings and controls. The device also displays the navigation information.

The next challenge for Volvo now is to continue charging the infotainment system with intelligent content that offers the car owner easy, intuitive access to support, information and entertainment. "The extended cooperation with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, who have been a supplier to Volvo Car Corporation for many years, paves the way for integrating new, user-friendly Infotainment and connectivity features in our cars," says Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby. "With Mitsubishi Electric Corporation as a strategic partner we also reinforce our stand-alone position in the automotive world."
