Waterproof M23 connectors qualified for depths of 5 meters
Equipped with Hypertac hyperboloid contact technology, the connectors are suitable for applications that encounter rough and corrosion-prone conditions in the food and beverage, chemical, maritime, and medical industries. The M23 cable connectors have been tested and qualified to meet IP68 sealing requirements for operation to a depth of 5 meters, over a period of 72 hours. These tests show that M23 connectors are able to perform while preventing water ingress for a longer duration and to a greater depth than previously established. The technical characteristics of the Smiths Interconnect M23 series also provide excellent shock and vibration resistance in other extreme conditions, such as chemical, aggressive gas, and polluted environments, as well as resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and acid.
