The webinar on this latest Mixed Signal microcontroller is set for 20:00 CET/7:00 pm GMT (11 a.m. Pacific time) on November 7, 2013. (An archived version will be available for those unable to view the real-time running, although the real-time event will contain a live Q&A.)

Registration for the event is at https://www.mouser.com/ti_fram_webinar/

The 45-minute program, geared toward design engineers, is entitled “Giving Your Product The Edge With MSP430 FRAM MCUs.”

The webinar introduces Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FRAM) microcontrollers, a memory technology with the capability to perform high-speed reads and writes while consuming no extra power.

Participants will walk through a learning session on MSP430 microcontrollers with embedded FRAM, and gain familiarity with reference designs; a question and answer session will follow.

This program includes; a technical introduction to embedded FRAM; how the industry’s only embedded FRAM-based MCUs can give your product the edge; and how to apply an IoT (Internet of Things) and sensor management reference design to quickly build applications.

The webinar will be hosted by Priya Thanigai, Product Marketing Engineer for TI’s MSP430 FRAM-based MCUs. Thanigai also worked as an Applications Engineer for MSP430 products and holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.

“FRAM is rapidly becoming an alternative to flash and EEPROM memory for microcontrollers in ultra-low power solutions,” says Kevin Hess, Mouser Vice President of Technical Marketing. “FRAM has a reputation as an ultra-low power, differentiated and more secure solution for embedded applications.”

Mouser previously partnered with TI to offer the Texas Instruments “FRAM for Dummies” book, an in-depth design engineering resource for beginners covering key areas of FRAM capabilities and applications. The free book is available for order now www.mouser.com/framfordummies/
