Well-funded Morse Micro gets more money for Wi-Fi Halow
Fabless Wi-Fi Halow chip developer Morse Micro Pty Ltd. (Sydney, Australia) has secured an AU$30 million top up of its Series B funding.
The Series B worth AU$140 million was announced in September 2022 (see Morse Micro raises $95m for IoT WiFi chip, teams with MegaChips). The addition brings the total raised across Series A and Series B to AU$230 million (about US$155 million).
TelstraSuper, HESTA, Hostplus and NGS (managed by Blackbird Ventures) and UniSuper (managed by Uniseed) participated in the round.
Michael De Nil, co-founder and CEO at Morse Micro, said the investment comes at a time when traction for Wi-Fi HaLow is growing.
Founded in 2016, Morse Micro has received more funding than any other Wi-Fi HaLow company in the world, the company claims. Morse Micro is now sampling its Wi-Fi Alliance and FCC-certified MM6108 production silicon.
