The MCU Motor Studio incorporates motor control firmware for Toshiba’s TMPM4K family of microcontrollers. With algorithms for sinewave commutation and vector-oriented control, it is suited to brushless DC (BLDC) motors. Generic APIs for accurate speed, torque and position control as well as for fault detection and system protection accelerate your motor application development. Using the PC Tool, the second component of the MCU Motor Studio, adapting to your chosen motor becomes easy. It provides motor parameter configuration, drive control, and real-time motor data logging and diagnostics by the high-speed Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO) function. MCU Motor Studio together with the Clicker 4 MCU board / Clicker 4 Inverter Shield from MikroElektronika offers a low-cost yet versatile entry point for prototyping and development.
