Using Tracealyzer with Lauterbach TRACE32 for ITM streaming and snapshot
This application note covers the setting up and operation of ARM's high speed Instrumentation Trace Macrocell (ITM) streaming for the Tracealyzer tool using a debugger from Lauterbach Read More
With a fast debug probe, ITM allows for high data rates (over 2 MB/s) in ARM-based microcontrollers and microprocessors with minimal target-side overhead. In our experiments, writing 16 bytes of data took just 55-60 clock cycles, despite requiring four separate writes. Moreover, unlike some other streaming solutions we support, ITM tracing does not require any RAM buffer.
