The production-grade small-sized Snowball developer board combines ST-Ericsson’s Nova A9500 dual-core application processor, with a 3D gyroscope, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a barometer, a GPS and connectivity features. Calao Systems designed the board, while Linaro developed the board’s low-level software, which is optimized for the Nova A9500’s ARM dual Cortex A9-based architecture.
The kit comes fitted with a 4/8GByte e-MMC, a 1GByte LP-DDR2 chip, one Micro-SD card, one RTC battery backup, full HD HDMI interface, an Ethernet 10/100Mbits port, video and audio ports, a USB OTG high-speed port, a JTAG connector, a MiPi34 debug connector and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WLAN as well as Bluetooth 4.0/Bluetooth low energy +EDR wireless capabilities (antenna excluded).
