Wind River design win on safety platform for autonomous vehicles,
The combined IP will allow the new platform to integrate advanced compute features, Ethernet-based communication and AI applications. The platform will run on top of the VxWorks RTOS and leverage advanced system partitioning via hypervisor technology. The partitioning allows automakers to separate essential safety-critical functions from infotainment and telemetry on the same hardware architecture. This also reduces the systems’ dependence on particular hardware.
