Wireless mesh modules available from Mouser Electronics
The modules are based on Silicon Labs’ EFR32MG13 Mighty Gecko SoC and feature Silicon Labs’ secure and flexible mesh protocol stacks, an integrated chip antenna, and RF regulatory certifications.
The Mighty Gecko wireless SoC has a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4 core with DSP instruction and FPU for signal processing. The MCU is supported by 64 Kbyte of RAM, 512 Kbyte of Flash, and up to +10 dBm output power (a +18 dBm version ia also available from Mouser.com), and a wide selection of peripherals. The module integrates the crystals, RF passives, and antenna for a system-level implementation of IoT mesh networks.
The module measures 12.9 mm × 17.8 mm × 2.3 mm and consumes only 9.9 mA in 1 Mbps receive mode and 8.5 mA at 0 dB in transmit mode. The MGM13P modules support SoC or network co-processor architectures, and the +10 dBm version of the device meets IEEE 802.15.4 for Thread and Zigbee networks.
MGM13P Mighty Gecko Radio Boards for use with the Mighty Gecko Starter Kit support the modules. The Simplicity Studio suite of development and debugging tools helps accelerate IoT product design.
