Wirepas and Telit partner on large scale IOT applications
According to Felix Marchal, Executive Vice President of GNSS and Short Range Wireless, Wirepas software combined with the Telit Bluemod+S42 platform at 2.4 GHz is a great example of what the new business unit will add to the Telit IoT portfolio.
Wirepas Connectivity is a de-centralized radio communications protocol for large scale Industrial IoT applications such as smart metering, lighting, asset tracking, logistics and environmental sensoring. It enables limitless scale, ultra-low power operations, high reliability, and it is easy to deploy.
The key to the performance is in the de-centralized network architecture. The devices decide the best actions by themselves locally. No central network management is needed. The local decision-making ensures that the devices always operate the similar way, independent of the network size or the devices’ locations within the network.
The BlueMod+S42 is the latest Telit Bluetooth v4.2 single mode module. The module boasts very small dimensions (17- x 10- x 2.6-mm). With operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, this high-end Bluetooth module has a line-of-sight range of more than 800 meters.
BlueMod +S42 is CE, FCC, IC and KCC certified and qualified according to the Bluetooth v4.2 specification.
